Numbness is a lack of sensation in a part of your body.
In addition to medicineyour doctor may recommend, consider the following:
- Elevating the area may increase blood flow to it.
- Epson Salt: Soak the affected area in a mixture of 1 tablespoon of epsom salt in a tub of hot water. Soak for 10 minutes a day.
- Exercise: Include in your exercises, exercises that use the affected area. Note: Avoid exercises such as high impact exercises if they affect the area negatively.
- Hot Compress: Place a towel that has been soaked in hot water on the affected area for 5 - 10 minutes. Repeat as necessary. Be sure the water is no so hot that it burns your skin.
- Massage: Massage the area with a cream of your choice or olive oil until the area heats a little.
