Cash Flow Statement
Gathering Information For Your Cash Flow Statement
Next » « Previous4/5
Before starting to complete your cash-flow statement, gather as many income and spending records as you can. This will help you complete the statement as accurately as possible. While you don't need to define your outflows to the penny, reasonably good estimates -- based on documentation where possible -- will make the statement more reliable.
Information that will help you complete your statement includes:
- A copy of last year's income tax return.
- A recent paycheck stub, if you are working.
- Statements from the Social Security Administration showing the amount of your monthly benefit, if any.
- Interest and Dividend Statements.
- Checking and Savings Account Statements or access to online bank accounts.
- Investment/Brokerage Account Statements.
- Your checkbook.
- Cash spending diaries or records -- if any.
- Phone and Utility Bills.
- Medical Bills.
- Insurance statements.
- Loan statements.
- Mortgage statements.
- Any other records of income and spending.
Please share how this information is useful to you.
