Yes, you can have both Medicare and Medicaid.
The Medicaid program supplements Medicare.
Between the two, Medicare pays first. The difference is paid by Medicaid, up to the State's payment limit. Medicaid also covers additional services (for example, nursing facility care beyond the 100 day limit covered by Medicare).
Medicaid can also supplement Medicare drug coverage (Part D). For example, Medicaid may pay for drugs which are specifically excluded from Medicare Part D coverage.
