Colorectal Cancer: In Treatment

1/1

During treatment, your focus is understandably likely to be on getting through the medical aspects.  Before reading about how to do this as well as possible, we suggest that you first review “The Basics” because they are the foundation for all of our discussions.

We recommend that you then read about managing your medical care. The medical care document describes what to expect as you go through treatment, and how to minimize side effects while maximizing chances of healing.

Each of our other categories either impact treatment or are impacted by it. Consider at least looking at the summaries of each of our other categories to see how they apply to your life. Press the back button on your browser to return to this document and to move on to the next summary. You can return to each subject if and as it works for you. Alternatively, you can sign in and then bookmark this page.  (If you haven’t registered yet, see “Register” in the upper right hand corner of your screen).

While information can help you feel in control, too much can also be overwhelming – particularly now. If this starts to happen, take a break and return when you’re ready to learn more – or ask someone else to review a particular subject for you. Keep in mind that family and friends want to help.
