Colorectal Cancer: In Treatment: Self Employed: Stages 0,I

1/1

With a diagnosis of stage 0 or 1 colon cancer, surgery likely removed all evidence of disease. Still, it is useful to use the situation as a call to prepare "just in case."

A planning day with your advisors may be helpful to consider subjects affected by your diagnosis. For example, consider how to continue your business if you become unable to continue to work or even if you die.

Also consider taking the opportunity to learn whether you can obtain disability income insurance through a group, possibly of self employed people.
