Other factors that may affect the amount and severity of nausea and vomiting include:

  • Prior experiences with motion sickness.
  • Previous bad experience with nausea and vomiting.
  • Fatigue.
  • Anxiety during treatment.
  • Heavy alcohol intake (currently or in the past).
  • Being a woman of menstrual age (at greatest risk for severe and long-lasting nausea and vomiting).
